Why should libraries podcast?

Podcasting is a another way that libraries may reach out to users using the technologies with which they are comfortable.

I tried podcasting due to the fact that teens in Mesa County have expressed interest in this technology, and especially wanted to try doing podcasts themselves. At Mesa County, my goal was to use podcasting as another form of outreach.

For libraries, the possibilities for podcasting are limited only by your own imagination...try podcasting news and events, interviews, author talks, story time, poetry readings, whatever you think your users need or want.
